A typically thin stray dog. Why are there so many in this emaciated condition? This one is Misty and she is a lovely young lurcher girl. We are making progress fattening her up but it is taking a while. Misty doesn’t like to keep a coat on either and is quite the […]
The ponies don’t mind a bit of snow so long as there is a feed block around and a pile of hay. Today it’s much deeper but they still wanted to go out for a scamper round and had a fine time jumping in and out of snow drifts! Ponies do less well […]
It’s our Christmas Fair this Saturday, 27th November, starting at 11.0am and going on till around half past three. Noel, our turkey will be on hand for greetings and conversation only! He is a very polite old chap and loves biscuits and crusts of bread – you are welcome to bring him titbits! […]
Millie the Yorkshire Terrier came in to the sanctuary because her owner had, sadly, passed away. Millie is the sweetest little dog imaginable but with just one problem – her teeth. If only she’d had regular doggy dentist check ups!
Danniboy has every reason to look pleased – a kind Pet Samaritan supporter brought several bags of horse and pony feed in this week. We were running low and so it came just at the right time – thank you so much.

Loads to rummage through at the first of our antiques weekends – it’s all ‘In the Dog […]
Cindy came in to the sanctuary as a stray. She was thin, frightened and hungry. After giving her time to settle and assessing her personality (very friendly) we offered her for adoption. That was over a year ago and last weekend her new peopple brought her back to see us. What […]
Jack Spratt, our politically incorrect three legged boss-dog, loves to sit down and have a read. His best pal, Miss Nolene, isn’t so interested. Jack looks at the pictures, especially if they are of other dogs or, best of all, cats! It’s a good thing he can’t run fast enough to catch […]
