Whoever could dump two tiny puppies in a cardboard box and leave them to freeze on one of the coldest nights of the year? Well, somebody did and a group of children found them shivering in a cardboard box in a local park.
The puppies are about five to six weeks old - not ready to leave mum even. When they were brought in to us our first thought was to raise their body temperature and give them a warm drink of puppy milk. They're a super pair of little girl dogs, mostly fawn in colour and with a fluffy coat - which is probably what saved their lives. A couple of days of intensive feeding, small meals and often and lots of warmth and t.l.c. - and they're pulling round from their ordeal. They have super temperaments although, understandbly a bit clingy still - 'you won't leave me, will you?'
Definitely not. We'll be looking for good homes for them when they are old enough. And what are we to call them? Well, it's Christmas so how about Jingle and Belle?
