CHAMBERS GUIDE TO SCOTLAND  by Mary Jack and John L. Blair.   Published by W. & R. Chambers Ltd., 1957.  A wonderful old guide with masses of maps, pictures and well written information, all set out alphabetically.  The content covers places, gardens, events, dancing, hotels, festivals, where to go, where to stay, what to see and much more. The advertisements are brilliant  - pictures of old coaches 'see Scotland the easy way', ads by Stirling Moss, Thornton's Tartan Wear, Scottish Youth Hostels.   The pictures, mostly in black and white (the maps are in colour) are stunning, vivid and atmospheric.  The hardback cover is blue, the spine is faded but the book is solid, in good condition and clean throughout.  There's a good fold out map at the back.   8 x 4, 281 pages.  £5.00 please add £3.00 post and packing.   Book no. 28/105
