Of course I'm the cleverest!
Who could doubt that this is one intelligent young dog? Anyone who handles cross bred dogs will know that they often have superb reasoning powers, co-ordination, street savvy and in these criterias they beat their strictly bred pedigree chums paws down.
Now recent research done at Aberdeen University has proved that this is the case and that mixed parentage dogs are more clever, healthier and hardier than their pure bred pals. After all, what are the pure breeds but varieties of canines bred particularly for certain traits? Such as guarding, hunting, retrieving, catching rats or being a sweet lap dog. Our cross bred dogs, with a vast genetic pool behind them, get the best of everything. Or the worst! And that's the chance you have to take. In the tests done at the university's animal science department, when it came to problem-solving and awareness tests, the cross bred dogs beat the pedigrees every time. A spaniel x collie was top dog with a 100% correct score. Of course, sometimes a quick thinking bitza is just too hard to keep up with!
