There were tears when Abe was brought in to the sanctuary – he is a much loved pet and his owner was so sad to have to give him up for family reasons. She has written a most moving letter : “Firstly I would like to offer my heartfelt thaniks for finding a space for my beloved Abe. I have had him from a pup and I love him dearly. He has been my little furry rock though some hard times where his was the only face waiting when I came home. He is the sweetest most loving little dog with a personality big enough to fill a Rottweiler! This has not been an easy decision to make and the thought of not coming home to him is heartbreaking. Let me say again how grateful I am to you and how if it wasn’t for my little boy I wouldn’t give Abe up for anything in the world”
Life is hard at times and parting with a much loved canine companion is never easy – however, Abe has settled in very well, he is just as sweet and charming as the letter says.
