| Doesn't Richie look fantastic!
When whippet Richie was re-homed there were lots of sighs from the Rambling Rovers who used to take him out for a walk. He was a Sanctuary Soulmates Star and a favourite with all our dog walkers. That's how his new people met him - they volunteered to exercise dogs and were quickly won over by Richie's sparkling personality. Thanks folks for bringing him back to see us and for giving him such a good home. |

A happy ending for Sophie and Rosie
These two beautiful Siamese ladies had been together since kittens and needed a new home. These friendly and affectionate girls were about to be put to sleep when we took them in. With perfect manners, they were polite, clean and well behaved guests who were very easy to look after.
Rosie and Sophie are late middle aged but are fit and well and look far younger than anyone would think. They are indoor cats who like an occasional stroll in a sheltered garden on a fine day but would definitely not appreciate being sent outside! A place by the central heating radiator, a bowl of biscuits, some chicken or fish titbits, lots of fuss....... and a big thank you to the lovely lady who came to meet them and very generously offered to look after them for the rest of their lives. Sophie and Rosie are very happy in their new home and settled down almost straight away.
(Our thanks to Pet Samaritan Chris who helped to look after these two lovely ladies while they were with us and who has rehomed cats from us already.) |

We are pleased to report that Sherwin has found a super new home. Check back soon and we'll let you know how he's getting on with his new life.
Sherwin means 'loyal friend' and it's what this great dog is all about. He's handsome but he's not at all bothered about looks and status, all he wants is to have a 'special' person of his own again. There's someone out there who has been his companion and carer and now he's on his own - he can't understand why and neither can we.

Another happy tail for the Pet Samaritans. We are glad to update you that Greta has found a new home. We'll be following her over the coming weeks and letting you know how she is getting on with her new owners in our rehomed pets section soon.
She's fabulous and certainly knows it. Greta has a certain star quality and can pose for photos along with the best of them. I love her wolf like look, the confident manner, the alert expression. Who could resist this lovely shepherd, this is a dog in a million, not a plaything but someone to share your life with.

We often have quite a few staffis in at the Sanctuary and finding homes for all of them is never easy. We are pleased to say Wilma has found a lovely new home. We still have some smashing staffis in for re-homing - Chalmer is a real handsome dude!

Well, almost pure white. Wilma has a few little spots of black on her head and ears - it adds a distinctive touch to this lovely staffi lady dog. She is a real softie, a typical motherly type who is all fuss and friendliness. And she's a stray. Who could live without this lovely lady?

Stanhope has found a new home. This loving chap, always full of energy and up for a good play, has found a smashing new home. He was quite thin when he came to us but with his new owners is already settling down. Good luck boy.
He's a bit too thin but other than that, Stanhope is a simply super guy. Affectionate and good natured, he's a forgiving soul - somehow he became a statistic - one of the U.K.s thousands of stray dogs - but does he hold it against humans? No way, he still loves us - and food - and walks - and playing football - in any order -

What a super dog and we are pleased to say Tinker has found a new home. We'll be updating you on this little character soon but in the meantime special thanks to his new owners for providing him with a well deserved new home.
Although he's not very big, Tinker is a big-hearted little chap with a nature as soft as butter. All he wants to do is fuss and be fussed in return. Lovable and very soft natured, Tinks came in as a stray and it's impossible to imagine why he wasn't claimed.....

One of our favourites at the Sanctuary has found a new home. We wish Cilla all the best and are delighted she has found new owners.

Cilla is an Irish Wolfhoud around two years old - a real character dog who is very laid back, affectionate and good natured. Are all Wolfhounds as super as this one? All the ones we've met so far have been good tempered and faithful. Cilla is still a bit on the thin side but when she came as a stray she was a real wreck....
